Pottery Barn Kids Promotes Halloween Costume iPhone App
Pottery Barn Kids sent an email promoting its Halloween Costume Guide App for the iPhone, complete with a virtual fitting room. To aid in costume selection, the app features a tool where users can “snap a photo, swap out images of our costumes, and then send your favorites to friends or relatives.” Options include a Bat ($49), a Pumpkin ($29), a Puppy ($49), an Airplane ($49) with designs to fit kids, toddlers and babies. Email copy alerts recipients that Halloween costumes and treat bags ship free, with a link to each department. Pottery Barn Kids has been promoting Halloween for some time this fall in a variety of channels, including emails and a 24-page Halloween Guide 2010 print catalog in August. Uniform City Gets in the Spirit with Spooky Scrubs
Uniform City announced its Halloween Sale, offering $2.99 ground shipping on orders over $50. The medical and hospitality apparel catalog features an assortment of holiday-themed scrubs, printed with Trick or Treat Ghouls ($9.99), Boo Patches ($9.99), and Witches Brew ($9.99). A free spider web tote bag is offered with orders totaling $50 or more. The catalog also gears up for Thanksgiving and Christmas with a small selection of festive products. A late July book from Uniform City also promoted a Halloween sale on the cover.

Martha Stewart Adds Spooky Flair to Grandin Road Insert
Cornerstone’s Grandin Road included a print catalog FSI that was delivered along with the New York Times Sunday edition. The 16-page book’s cover reads “Frightful Shopping, Free Shipping.” The Martha Stewart for Grandin Road collection offers indoor and outdoor decor, and includes a set of Haunted Lanterns ($49 – $79), Glow in the Dark Tombstones ($89) and a Life-sized Count Von Bedford Vampire ($599).
